Opera Laguna presents selected scenes from
 Love From Beyond: Two Tales from Poe 
a new opera in workshop based on the short stories of Eleonora and Ligeia by Edgar Allan Poe. With music written by R. Matthew Brown and text written by Frank Gruber this adaptation of Poe’s stories explores love, mortality and the human will to transcend death. 

With an international cast of singers who have sung in the country’s most prestigious houses, including The Metropolitan Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago and LA Opera, this project continues Opera Laguna’s mission to support new opera development by Southern California based composers.

The music performance will be followed by a Q+A with our composer, librettist and cast.
