Just in time for Halloween, Opera Laguna invites you into the haunting world of Edgar Allan Poe.

Love from Beyond is a new opera based on Poe’s short stories Eleonora and Ligeia, with music by R. Matthew Brown and text by Frank Gruber. It’s a story of love, mortality, and the human will to transcend death, and we’ll share selected scenes with you for one evening only.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, put on your opera critic caps, and help us develop this wonderful new work. The evening features about 60 minutes of music, followed by a Q&A with our composer, librettist, and cast. We’d love to hear what you think.

Our international cast has sung on some of the country’s most prestigious stages, including The Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and LA Opera. This intimate evening is a rare chance to hear them up close, just steps from the beach.
